About

Nadia Hamade is licensed to practice law in both Michigan and Florida, where she has been a trusted advisor to licensed professionals and entrepreneurs across a wide range of legal matters.

Before joining ATLAW, Nadia served as Assistant Attorney General for the state of Michigan in the Department of Attorney General’s Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division. In this role, she played a crucial role in environmental enforcement actions, administrative permit disputes, and real estate plat revisions for agencies such as the Michigan Departments of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and Natural Resources (DNR). Her negotiation skills were instrumental in helping her agency clients avoid costly litigation through settlement agreements.

Nadia also has an impressive track record in Florida, where she served as a Senior Attorney with the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) in its Contracts and Rulemaking Division and as a Deputy Chief Attorney with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) in its Real Estate Division. At DFS, she drafted and negotiated state contracts, while at DBPR, she managed real estate license compliance enforcement and resolved disputes related to broker-held earnest money deposits.

Nadia earned her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School, where she actively participated in the Environmental Law Clinic and even authored an Amicus Brief to the U.S. Supreme Court concerning the Asian carp invasive species in the Great Lakes. During her time in law school, Nadia also gained practical experience as a litigation law clerk at a mid-sized firm specializing in real estate and mortgage-related matters, providing her with a deep understanding of real estate and real estate finance contract issues. After obtaining her license to practice, Nadia served that firm as a loan mediation specialist before launching her own practice, where she represented and counseled individuals and small businesses in business, finance, and real estate contract negotiations and disputes.

Furthermore, Nadia obtained mediator certification through the Michigan-based Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and conducted mediations for tribal and employment disputes. She also served a franchise holdings corporation, managing franchise agreements and compliance matters. The wealth of experience Nadia brings to ATLAW makes her a great asset to our professional and business clients.
